That time of the year
(I really felt like writing something but the words aren't coming to me tonight. Please have patience with my rambling...)
It's that time of the year again.
A long and hard-working fall coming to an end with some good results and some that didn't completely go as intended. That's life I guess but still always frustrating not succeeding on goals that you have set out. Anyway, the darkest day of the year (at least on the northern hemisphere) has just passed and finally we are on the right track again towards brighter days.
Wether you celebrate or not, feel happy or sad, Christmas is upon us. And however you choose to spend it, Christmas most often means a brief paus and time for reflection. Everything stops, which means you can stop a little too. Personally I can do it for a little while, but then I go crazy if I can't get anything done. Can't help it.
Pausing for me usually means an opportunity to start new projects and begin new challenges. Like starting a somewhat unnecessary story on Exposure with a look back at the past year. It started out as a great idea in my head then the sheer technical parts and just massive overload of images somewhat took away a bit of my inspiration. We'll see if I can make something of it before New Years.
An obscene amount of lights have been put up all over the city as usual and I've snapped a photo here and there. At least it makes for quite the spectacular scenes, but I mean, isn't it too much already?
At this point I would just like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Hope that all of you get some time to pause and relax. I flew up to "northern" Sweden (it's actually pretty much in the middle geographically but most consider it to be quite far north ;) ) late on the 23rd to spend it with my girlfriend and her family. Was very much hoping for snow but no luck this time around I'm afraid.
Again, sorry for this inconsistent rambling. Anyway...
